To KNOW, LOVE, and SERVE the Lord Jesus Christ!

Awana is a weekly event that happens at Immanuel Baptist every Wednesday night during the school year for kids Age 2 - Grade 6.  The word Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (NIV)."

The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach kids with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to train them to serve Him.  At Immanuel, our clubs meet from 6:30-8:00PM on Wednesday nights. Every night has a different theme and clubbers have the opportunity to win points for participation.  Points can be redeemed at the end of the semester at Awana Store Night to win cool prizes!

We create a fun and exciting environment with age-appropriate games and learning.  We divine our meetings into three segments:  Game Time, Large-Group Time and Game Time.

Clubs and Ages:

Puggles (Age 2-3) - In Puggles, your child will be involved in activities that encourage real learning. This program provides a solid foundation for faith, based on God's Word. And it's fun, too! Puggles participate in prayer and a Bible story, activity sheets, have visits from puppets, make crafts, sing songs, and play non-competitive games. The Puggles Club Color is Yellow.

CubbiesLogo_CMYKCubbies (Age 3-4*) - The Cubbies earn points by going through their Appleseed Handbook. Each book includes Scripture memorization and parent-child activities. The activities in club meetings each week are coordinated with the Bible truths he or she learns at home. Different learning levels offer options that keep learning exciting and fun! *3 Year olds who start the Awana year potty-trained. The Cubbies Club Color is Blue.

sparksjpgSparks (Grades K-2) - Sparks is the Awana club designed for children in kindergarten through second grade and builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The aim of the program is to take this age group a step deeper into Scripture, while giving unsaved boys and girls opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to learn verses and complete handbook assignments. The Sparks Club Color is Red.

T&T (Grades 3 - 6) - T&T is split into two clubs: T&T Ultimate Adventure (Grades 3-4) and T&T Ultimate Challenge (Grades 5-6). Our goal is to teach these older children the truth of the Word of God and train them to serve Him in their daily lives. Each clubber begins with the Start Zone booklet. We want them to know what it means to trust Christ as their Lord and Savior and how to grow in grace with their relationships with God and with others. Clubbers receive points for  the completion of each handbook segment. In addition to these regular sections, there are extra-credit sections (with special awards) throughout the handbooks. Clubbers will also receive a book completion patch to wear on their uniforms as each is completed. The T&T Club Color is Green.
